Add soft, cheerful color and graceful movement to your garden with Cosmos, an easy-to-grow annual known for its delicate, daisy-like blooms and airy, fern-like foliage. This mixed-color variety produces a beautiful assortment of flowers that create a relaxed, cottage-garden look in beds, borders, wildflower gardens, and cut flower gardens.

Cosmos bloom throughout summer into fall, often continuing until the first frost. They are prolific bloomers, and regular cutting or deadheading encourages plants to keep producing new flowers throughout the season.

One of the easiest annual flowers to grow, Cosmos thrive in full sun and actually perform well in average or less-than-perfect soil. Once established, they are drought tolerant, low maintenance, and a wonderful choice for filling larger garden spaces with color.

🌱 Planting

Plant Cosmos seeds outdoors in spring after danger of frost has passed. Scatter or sow seeds directly where you would like them to grow and lightly cover with soil.

Keep the soil lightly moist during germination and while young seedlings become established. Once growing, Cosmos require very little care and thrive during warm summer weather.

Avoid overly rich soil or excessive fertilizer, which can encourage lots of foliage at the expense of flowers.

💐 Perfect for Cut Flower Gardens

Cosmos make beautiful cut flowers with their long stems, delicate foliage, and colorful blooms. Cutting flowers regularly can encourage the plants to branch and produce even more blooms.

Their airy growth also makes them a beautiful companion to zinnias, sunflowers, and other summer favorites.

🐝 Open Pollination Notice

These seeds are collected from open-pollinated plants grown in our gardens. Bees, butterflies, and other pollinators naturally move pollen between nearby flowers, so cross-pollination may occur.

Plants grown from these seeds may closely resemble their parent plants or display natural variations in color, pattern, size, or bloom form. Individual colors cannot be guaranteed.
