Our Story — Where It All Began
The roots of Sunshine Valley Garden go back to 2012, when I purchased my very first daylily from a couple selling flowers at our local town square market. What started as a simple purchase blossomed into a wonderful friendship that continues today.
Over the years, these two gardeners became my mentors, sharing their knowledge, experience, and love of flowers. We've spent countless hours gardening together, visiting auctions, exchanging ideas, and sometimes simply sitting and enjoying each other's company.
In 2020, when the COVID-19 pandemic temporarily closed the school where I worked, I found myself spending more time in my gardens. While dividing plants, clearing overgrowth, and tending to my flower beds, I realized that many of the plants I was removing could bring beauty to someone else's garden.
I began offering seeds and plants through Facebook, and what started as a small idea gradually grew into Sunshine Valley Garden.
Throughout this journey, my husband has been one of my biggest supporters. From building my shop and tilling the fields to helping turn my ideas into reality, his hard work and encouragement have played an important role in growing our business.
Today, Sunshine Valley Garden is a woman-owned, family-operated nursery located in Archie, Missouri. We take pride in growing our plants outdoors, harvesting our own seeds, and sharing our love of gardening with customers across the country.
One of the greatest rewards of this journey is hearing from customers who are enjoying flowers grown right here in our gardens. Every kind message, photograph, and handwritten thank-you note reminds us why we do what we do.

Grown With Care, From Our Garden to Yours
At Sunshine Valley Garden, we believe beautiful gardens begin with healthy, carefully grown plants. Our flowers are raised outdoors in natural growing conditions, not in a greenhouse.
Field-Grown With Care
Our daylilies, irises, and perennial plants grow in our Missouri garden beds, where they experience the changing seasons naturally. When it's time to ship, our plants are freshly dug, carefully prepared, and packaged for their journey to your garden.
Hand-Harvested Seeds
All of our flower seeds are collected right here in our gardens. We take pride in hand-harvesting, sorting, and packaging our seeds with care.
A Small Nursery With a Personal Touch
As a family-operated business, we value every customer and every order. Whether you're planting your first flower bed or adding to an established garden, we're happy to share our love of gardening with you.
